Quality Translation Services

At Skyline Translation Services, we place the utmost emphasis on maintaining the high standards of our recruitment and selection procedures. Speaking a foreign language, being a native speaker, or holding academic credentials is not enough for us. All our translators must have extensive knowledge of both their source and target languages. This knowledge must be supported by a deep understanding of the cultural and linguistic diversities that constitute a language.

Our Quality Translation Services:

To mitigate the risk of translation errors by investing in individuals with tangible skills.

 Workflow and Service Level:

1. **Receipt of Translation or Quotation Request:** We examine the request, assess the technical feasibility of the project, and consider the requested deadline. We then provide a quote. At this stage, we only contact the client if a specific requirement is not clear or if additional information is needed.

2. **Acceptance of Quote and Assignment:** We assign an in-house translator to your project. This translator is a native speaker with experience in your technical field and affinity for the subject matter. Additionally, any special technical resources that might be required are gathered or purchased.

3. **Delegation:** We receive the source file(s), and the Project Manager assigns the material to the appropriate translator or team. We communicate with you to clarify terminologies.

4. **Compilation of Multilingual Terminology List:** This internal terminological database ensures the consistency of technical terms within the translated document(s) and future projects.

5. **Spell Checking:** After spell checking, the translated document undergoes a “revision” to check for consistency, language register, and style issues.

6. **Review by a Second Translator:** After all specific translation and language issues are resolved, another translator reviews the text. This review focuses on legibility and fluidity of the translation.

7. **Delivery:** The Project Manager verifies the final work before release and confirms that all expectations are met. Any changes requested by you are implemented at this stage.

8. **Archiving:** The source and target texts, along with glossaries compiled during the translation process, are archived for future reference.

In addition to standard office suites, we can arrange for specialized translation and localization through our freelance translators who use software such as DéjàVu and Trados, enabling us to handle most document and text formats.
